K-8 Computer Teacher. 100kin10. 2020 Carnegie Science Middle Level Educator Award. Keystone Technology Innovator 2014. PAECT Teacher of the Year 2014. In 2017 I was honored by the NCEA with Lead Learn Proclaim Award for Excellence in Teaching, I received a Merita Award in the the same year for my work with the the American Classical League. I served as Classics Club Chai for the Excellence through Classics Committee and Chair for the Committee for Latin in Elementary Schools for the National Committee for Latin & Greek. I am also a member of the ACL Technology Committee and Prima Writing Committee.
I have been teaching for over 28 years. I taught 5th grade, 4th grade, 3rd grade, and for over 13 years, I have been the Computer technology and STREAM. I also teach an exploratory Latin class for Grades 7 & 8. I love learning about new technology and sharing what I have learned with others. I am the Director for Outreach for Ancient Coins for Education. I served as a Teacher Ambassador for Carnegie Mellon University’s CREATE Lab. I am currently a Padcaster Distinguished Educator, a Common Sense Ambassador and also serve as an ambassador for TouchCastEdu, Quizlet, Symbaloo, SimpleK12, Sphero, and Duolingo, Gimkit, GooseChase, StickTogether, and Applied Digital Skills. I also love connecting ancient studies with modern technology.
